Heart of CASA Award

The Heart of CASA Award is given to a volunteer who has served for over two years and displays an extraordinary amount of commitment to the program. This year’s recipient, Sharon Givan, has been an active volunteer since 2003. She has served on seven cases involving fifteen children during this time. Sharon is an exceptional volunteer who pays close attention to detail while juggling the multiple facets of her cases. Sharon routinely goes above and beyond for CASA. This year alone, she helped with the Speak Up for Children Breakfast, served on discussion panels to help new volunteers know what to expect, and played a major role in our recruitment video. Sharon’s commitment to children is unwavering. She is more than willing to follow her children in and out of county, and sometimes back again. With inspiring grace and a warm smile, Sharon is up for any challenge thrown her way. It is with great pleasure that CASA of Franklin County selected her to receive the Heart of CASA Award in 2009.
